The Galley: House Magazine of Longman Penguin Southern Africa
This house magazine of Longman Southern Africa was published for Longman's staff from 1978 onwards. A selection of editions of the magazine are held at Maskew Miller Longman's offices in Cape Town.

The Bantu Education Journal was published by the Department of Bantu Education, and between 1965-1968, lists of prescribed books were listed on an annual basis, for example in the following issues: 11: 51-3, 12: 27-30, 13: 44-47, 14: 40-45. Copies of this journal are available in the National Library of South Africa, in Cape Town and Pretoria, and in the Institute of Education Library in London.

This is an interview of Tim Rix, former Chief Executive Officer of Longman, by Sue Bradley as part of the NLSC: Book Trade Lives project. The tape recording is held at the British Library, and it includes his reflections on Longman's business in South Africa during apartheid.
